Sola Salon Studios
This cut and color is perfect for that client who wants a bright-as-the-sun blonde and a modern haircut and style to accompany it. We spotted this cut/color combo on Jennifer LaVinge’s Instagram (@jenniferlavignehair) and got her color formulas, cutting how-to, and styling steps so that you can recreate this in your own Sola studio.

The Cut
Jennifer recommends the following steps:
Step 1: Shampoo and condition using UNITE BLONDA™ Shampoo & UNITE 7SECONDS™ Conditioner, and then establish sections.
NOTE: Jennifer did ear-to-ear-to-ear sections.
Step 2: Section from the back. Start first section from the occipital bone, drop that first section then cut the perimeter with a slight angle. Repeat this process until you have finished cutting the back section.
Step 3: Drop the left ear-to-ear section, then using the guide from the back section, connect the perimeter and cut the length with a slight angle on the sides.
Repeat process on the right ear-to-ear section.
Step 4: Blow dry, flat iron, and go back in create layers and refine precision.
Step 5: Remove the weight using a razor and texturize the ends to create those wispy ends.
The Style
To recreate this smooth finish on wet hair, Jennifer suggests the following steps:
Step 1: Apply Moroccanoil Treatment, Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair 6 Effects Serum, and UNITE 7SECONDS™ Leave-In Conditioner to wet hair.
Step 2: Finger dry hair until 80% dry.
Step 3: Finish drying hair using Moroccanoil Round Brush to smooth the cuticle.
Step 4: Flat iron once hair is completely dry.
Step 5: Finish look with a spritz of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine.
