Educated by some of the world's most prestigious hair academies, Jola's artistry has been featured on actors, artists and models in magazines, television, music videos and live shows in Europe and the United States. Her creative styling has won competitions and awards across the globe, including the Toni & Guy Hairdresser of the Year award and Goldwell Salon of the Year. Born and raised in Poland, Jola came to the United States at age 17 -- and soon after, she began her stylist studies at Gene Juarez Academy in Seattle. After graduation, she returned to Poland, where she opened a salon and launched her own product line. Always looking to further her education, Jola has bounced across the globe studying at Sassoon in Toronto, Rush Hair Co. in Austria, Goldwell in Berlin, Matrix in Poland and Sweden, Toni & Guy in both the U.S. and U.K. — and at Loreal, Redken, Aveda and Davines. Her line, De Legge, is non-GMO and synthetic-free, utilizing essential oils, biominerals and all-natural ingredients that replenish the hair's moisture without changing its feel or weighing it down. In addition to her own products, Jola uses Emera's CBD-infused products, which coats each strand to make hair feel fuller and thicker while keeping it nourished and healthy. Jola specializes in creative, vibrant color — ombré, balayage, sombre — as well as keratin treatments, fashion cuts and Brazilian blowouts. Her precise and thoughtful styles take into consideration movement, hair type and what the cut will look like if not styled and blow-dried. Jola always wants her clients to have confidence in their appearance, and she's done extensive research on how to help thinning hair, stocking products that help clients who have issues with baldness or hair loss due to medical issues or medication. Her Asheville salon, De Legge European Studio, also stocks HaloCouture products, a line of high-end, quality and non-damaging hair extensions that Jola is licensed to fit, color match and customize to a client's wishes.
