3 Easy-To-Keep New Year's Resolutions image

It’s almost the start of a new year which means it’s New Year’s Resolution time. So many of us come up with the same goals every year: lose weight, eat healthy, go to the gym, drink less... While these are excellent goals to have, lets be honest - oftentimes they are long forgotten by the end of January. But here are 3 easy-peasy resolutions you might be able keep throughout the year and as an added bonus, none of them involve getting on a treadmill.

Always Be Open To Trying New Things

Strive to keep your mind open this year to positivity and new ideas. Run a special pricing deal for a cut and color. Work on putting more of your personality into social media. Don’t feel like the ideas are working? Then move on to something else! Being open to possibilities and change will ultimately be a positive move for you and your salon business.

Pamper Yourself More Often

Your business revolves around taking care of others to ensure they look and feel their very best. But don’t forget about yourself! Take moments throughout the week to indulge yourself. Buy that grande vanilla latte from Starbucks. Keep your weekly manicure appointment. Book a massage once a month. Reward yourself for all your hard work in the salon!

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself

Life can be tough and sometimes we need to cut ourselves a bit of a break. Running your own business is hard work and yes, you will probably make some mistakes this year. But don’t get so caught up in worrying about the small stuff and keep your perspective. Are your clients happy when they leave your salon? Are you organized and efficient with your scheduling? Is your social media base slowly growing? Think about your many accomplishments and if there's something you want to change, then set realistic goals to move forward and onward. Don't sweat the small stuff!

Happy New Year!
