Recreate This Look: Peachy Pink

After going lavender during her last appointment, Sharon Hinkle’s client Kornya wanted to become more of a peachy-pink rose gold. After viewing a number of inspiration photos on Instagram and a thorough color consultation, Sharon knew exactly the formulas and steps needed to transition Kornya’s color.

Hair Length: Long

• BaByliss®PRO 1 ½-Inch Curling Iron

The Color

Formula 1 (New Growth): Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Premium Lift + Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Premium Developer 25-vol + Olaplex #1

Formula 2 (Drag Down): Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Premium Lift + Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Premium Developer 15-vol + Olaplex #1

Formula 3 (Strawberry): Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Toning Strawberry + Schwarzkopf BLONDME® Premium Developer 7-vol

Step 1: Apply Formula 1 and process to a level 9.

Step 2: Once new growth has achieved level 9, drag down Formula 2 on mid-area to remove the remaining purple from the last color session.

Step 3:  During the last 5 minutes of processing, drag Formula 2 down to ends, making a clean level 10 canvas.

Step 4: Rinse. Apply Olaplex #2 for 5-10 minutes. Rinse

Step 5: Shampoo hair with Fanola No Yellow Shampoo (pre-tone for 3 minutes).

Step 6: Apply Formula 3 to damp hair. Allow to process for 20 minutes.

Step 7: Shampoo and condition using Sebastian Penetraitt.

The Cut

“I opted to perform a dry cut on Kornya after I completed her color service,” added Sharon. “I went all around using a point cutting technique, and then went back in gave her a straight across, long-layered cut that frames her face.”

The Style

Step 1:  On damp hair, spray It's A 10 Leave-In Conditioner and Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray.

Step 2: Blow completely dry.

Step 3: Taking 1 to 2-inch sections, curl entire head with a 1 ½-inch curling iron.

Step 4: Rake out curls using fingers and finish with hairspray of your choice.
