Refreshing Spa-ahh Water Recipes image

The popularity of spa water has skyrocketed recently, and for good reason. While a bottle of water is nice, a cool glass of water infused with fruits, vegetables, and/or herbs demonstrates that as a boutique salon owner, you’ve taken that extra step to create a relaxing, comfortable environment for your guests. Concocting your own signature spa water is a great way to expand the amenities your studio salon offers. Here are 5 recipes to help you mix up your very own spa water.

Herb-Infused Spa Water (via MyRecipes.com)

Ingredients:

● 6 cups chilled still spring or mineral water
● 12 thin slices cucumber
● 4 thin slices lemon
● 4 sprigs (each 2 in. long) fresh mint, slightly crushed
● 2 sprigs (each 2 in. long) fresh rosemary, slightly crushed

Preparation:

In a 2- to 2 1/2-quart pitcher, combine water, cucumber, lemon, mint, and rosemary. Serve, or cover and chill at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours. Add ice cubes just before serving.

Food Network’s Spa Water

Ingredients:

● 1 orange, sliced
● 1 lemon, sliced
● 1 lime, sliced
● 1/2 grapefruit, pink or white, sliced
● 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Preparation:

Add all of the ingredients to a clear pitcher and fill with ice water. Best served slightly chilled or at room temperature.

Cucumber Melon Spa Water (via HealthierSF.org)

Ingredients:

● 1 large cucumber, sliced
● 1/4 honeydew melon, cubed
● 1/4 cantaloupe, cubed
● 1 half gallon of water

Preparation:

Place melon and cucumber in a pitcher and add water. Allow flavors to blend at least two hours and then serve in glasses over ice.

Berry, Rose and Vanilla Water (via Mother Earth Living)

Ingredients:

● 3/4 cup fresh or frozen blackberries and/or raspberries
● 1/4 cup dried pink rose petals
● 1/2 large vanilla bean, sliced lengthwise

Preparation:

Place ingredients in a 1/2-gallon pitcher and fill with cold, pure water. Allow the water to sit refrigerated overnight (or longer) to allow the flavors to infuse. Strain the water and return it to the pitcher. Keep the pitcher in the fridge to keep it chilled. Drink within a few days.

Pineapple, Ginger Delight (via Shape)

Ingredients:

● 1 cup fresh pineapple pieces (crushed for more a sweeter taste)
● 1-inch piece ginger, thinly sliced
● 2 quarts filtered or spring water

Preparation:

Add the pineapple and ginger to a 64-ounce Mason jar or pitcher. Pour the water over top and refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice. For women, the adequate intake of water per day is nine 8-ounce cups and it’s 13 cups for men. Spa water is a tantalizing, tasty way to help your clients hydrate and relax in your boutique salon.
