Precise, meticulous, skilled, and consistent like an engineer. Naomi Blackwood is a rare gem of a hairdresser. She is so rare in her outstanding skills and so special in her precision that even though I had moved 2,500 miles away from the area two years ago, I still call and ask her to cut my hair when I am in town, and to this day I have not used anyone else. Naomi has been cutting my hair since 2016 – 7 years. She is very detail-oriented. There is never a strand of unevenness after a cut. I have thick hair with course Asian texture, not easy to cut and hold the shape. Naomi is the only hairdresser I know who shapes my hair so well that I never need styling or hot tools after a wash. Because of her precision, I have sometimes gone on without a haircut (some variation of a short layered bob style) for 3-4 months and my hair still looks great. In the day and age that a lot of professionals use fancy styling tools and styling products to make you look so good walking out of the salon but can never repeat the look yourself at home, Naomi's dedication on the cuts themselves are outstanding. I look good no matter the cut variation I have tried and I know I will continue to look good and find no unevenness in the cut weeks after I return home. And, she is fabulous at cutting men's hair as well. I will continue to travel to get a cut with Naomi for as long as I can. My haircut always looks great because of Naomi's talents.
