5 Ways to Celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month

As a Sola-preneur, National Entrepreneurship Month is an excellent time to celebrate your independent salon business! Not to mention Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday – a small business shopping frenzy. Here are five ways to celebrate and make the most of this month: 

1. Share Your Story: Use your platform to share your entrepreneurial journey. Write a blog or social media post, create a Reel or TikTok, or give interviews to local media outlets, discussing your successes, challenges, and lessons learned. People want to know the face behind the brand — plus, your story can inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs! Make sure to tag us @solasalons and use the hashtag #solasalons so we can reshare your Sola Success Story. 
2. Offer Mentorship: Give back to the entrepreneurial community by offering mentorship to beauty pros who are considering going independent. Share your expertise and experiences with those who are just starting or looking for that next step in their career. You can participate in local entrepreneurship programs or mentorship initiatives at your local beauty school. 
3. Collaborate and Network: Reach out to other entrepreneurs in your community and build relationships. It can even just be your Sola neighbor or the newbie down the hall... Networking can lead to valuable partnerships and opportunities! Who better to learn from than other successful Solapreneurs?! Consider attending local entrepreneurship events, join business organizations (groups on Facebook, even!), and collaborate and idea-share with fellow entrepreneurs. Here, we believe in community over competition! 
4. Support Local Businesses: Use this month to focus on supporting other local businesses. Hit up your favorite local boutique for a new fall ‘fit, or try out a new, locally owned coffee shop or restaurant! Consider partnerships, joint marketing efforts, or sourcing products or services from local entrepreneurs. By supporting each other, you can strengthen the local business community! 
5. Partake in Black Friday, Small Biz Saturday or Cyber Monday: Or all three! These serve as a great opportunity to bundle your services, offer a limited-time promo, or make some extra revenue on retail! This is another great time to be active on social media and remind your followers and clients that, when they come see you, they are supporting a small business.
